An early morning, reflective Service of Holy Communion in a traditional Anglican style.
A multi-generational Communion Service, including Sunday School every week.
An informal, friendly Worship Service in the Church building’s Fellowship Room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to show proof of vaccination to attend a Service at St Augustine’s?
No. Under present Victorian Government COVID-Safe regulations both Adults and Children do not need to show proof of vaccination to attend Church Services, Funerals or Weddings.
Do I need to book a place to attend Services?
No. With the further easing of COVID restrictions we have adequate space to fit our congregations and guests in our building during Church Services.
Will there be a Sunday School for children?
Yes. Our Little Church Sunday School program will run weekly as part of the Sunday 10am Service.
Will Holy Communion be served at the Services?
Yes. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at all the relaunched Church Services. Communion is served hygienically with grape juice in individual cups (and no wine in a common cup). Those assisting use hand sanitiser and/or disposable gloves.
What other hygiene and safety measures are there? Do I have to wear a mask?
We have a COVID-Safe plan that implements the current Victorian Government and Melbourne Anglican Diocese COVID-Safe regulations.
You will be asked to sign-in with your name and contact number on arrival through the Services Victoria QR Code App. A pen and paper sign in system is also available for those without smartphones. There will be a registration desk at the front entrance for this purpose.
Hand sanitisation is required upon entry.
We are asking people to bring a face mask to Church. Depending on current regulations you may be asked to wear your face mask while we sing, and/or at all times while indoors.
Please stay home if you have any cold or flu like symptoms and follow the Victorian Stay Safe Guidelines.
Will there be hymn books, prayer books, service orders or newsletters?
No. Our services have gone ‘contactless’, so there will be no handouts and we will use our data projector screen for words to songs and prayers.
I am not quite ready to return to Church yet, is there still going to be an Online Church Service?
Yes. We will continue to video our sermons and broadcast these each week on our website and our YouTube channel.
