Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to show proof of vaccination to attend a Service at St Augustine’s?

No. Under present Victorian Government COVID-Safe regulations both Adults and Children do not need to show proof of vaccination to attend Church Services, Funerals or Weddings.

Do I need to book a place to attend Services?

No. With the further easing of COVID restrictions we have adequate space to fit our congregations and guests in our building during Church Services.

Will there be a Sunday School for children?

Yes. Our Little Church Sunday School program runs weekly as part of the Sunday 10am Service.

Will Holy Communion be served at the Services?

Yes. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at all the relaunched Church Services. Communion is served hygienically with an option for grape juice in individual cups. Those assisting use hand sanitiser and/or disposable gloves.

What other hygiene and safety measures are there? Do I have to wear a mask?

We have a COVID-Safe plan that implements the current Victorian Government and Melbourne Anglican Diocese COVID-Safe regulations.

Hand sanitisation is required upon entry.

We are asking people to bring a face mask to Church.  Depending on current regulations you may be asked to wear your face mask while we sing, and/or while indoors. Regardless of current regulations, you are welcome to wear a face mask in the church building if you wish.

Please stay home if you have any cold or flu like symptoms and follow the Victorian Stay Safe Guidelines.

I am not quite ready to return to Church yet, is there still going to be an Online Church Service?

Yes. We will continue to video our sermons and broadcast these each week on our website and our YouTube channel.
